The Entertainment Solutions team is committed to setting the standard for quality, leadership and excellence in the entertainment industry by doing whatever it takes to meet and exceed the expectations of each and every client we serve.Ken Koziol is Senior Vice President for Entertainment Solutions, Inc. With over 20 years in the special events industry, Ken has been instrumental in the development and creation of several marketing and event initiatives nationwide.
A graduate of the University of Arizona, Ken held the position of Director of Concerts for the Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA), developing events and entertainment programs for McKale Center Arena and Centennial Hall Auditorium.
Upon graduation, Ken was hired as Marketing and Promotions Manager for KNIX Radio in Tempe, AZ. During that time, his promotions staff grew to ten people as he developed the stations sales sponsorship program. In 1992, Ken was nominated for Billboard Magazine’s Station Promotion/Marketing Director of the year.
After six years of coordinating special events, promotions and marketing for KNIX Radio, Ken founded Image Entertainment Productions, Inc. Growing the business nationwide, Image Entertainment produced local and national events for several corporate and civic clients and included an event roster of more than 250 events per year. Ken sold his business to TBA Entertainment Corporation (NASDAQ: TBAE) in 1998 and founded Entertainment Solutions, Inc. in 2001.
Entertainment Solutions has produced many successful events, establishing an excellent reputation that has led to its extensive growth over a short period. Ken’s industry knowledge and relationships in the music industry have propelled him to one of the top national talent buyers in the Southwest.
Kevin Koziol has nearly 20 years experience in the special events industry. Before he graduated with his bachelor’s in Business from the University of Arizona, Kevin was the Director of Concerts for the Associated Students of University of Arizona. He had early experience with entertainment programming, talent negotiation and directing a marketing staff, all while managing and producing concerts at several venues on the U of A campus.
Kevin officially began his event marketing career in 1991 as Operations Manager for the Tempe Festival of the Arts. He was instrumental in the development of the nationally accredited arts festival, which is one of the top 25 events of its kind in the nation.
In 1992 Kevin joined Image Entertainment Productions as Vice President of Operations. He oversaw the implementation and production of more than 250 events per year including corporate programming and special event production. His resulting extensive production knowledge has allowed him to play a vital role in planning and execution of every Entertainment Solutions event. His resume includes the production of several historic events such as the Arizona Diamondbacks World Championship Parade, the Arizona 9/11 Memorial Dedication and the METRO Light Rail Grand Opening.
Kevin’s broad experience includes event layout, design and implementation along with the development of logistics and stage timelines. He also specializes in the on-site management of a large staff roster including production and operations personnel and event volunteers.
Kevin has been the Executive Producer of Tempe’s Insight Fiesta Bowl Block Partysince 1992. His responsibilities include coordinating all logistics and production for the 16-block New Year’s Eve celebration in Tempe, AZ. USA Today has rated the event as one of the Top 10 New Year’s Eve Events in the United States. In February of 2008, Kevin was the Project Manager for the NFL Super Bowl Saturday Night, a multi-sensory event that featured the Counting Crows and an incredible fireworks show in Tempe Beach Park. Nearly 20,000 people attended the free event the night before Super Bowl XLII took place in Glendale, AZ.
Kevin’s expertise in event production and management has been instrumental in the success and national notoriety of the Entertainment Solutions projects he manages.
Jan Holland-Malcom has a diverse 15-year background in special events management that ranges from privately and publicly produced major festivals to corporate trade shows to specialty events of all kinds. This practical experience combined with her commitment to continuing education and an ambitious attitude gives her the expertise to successfully produce any and all projects.
As an Event Manager for Entertainment Solutions, Inc., Jan currently coordinates vendors, site construction and on-site management for a number of Arizona's best events. Her most recent responsibilities have included operational management for the Circle K Tempe Music Festival, P.F. Chang's Rock 'N' Roll Marathon, Insight Fiesta Bowl New Year's Eve Block Party and the NFL's Super Bowl Saturday Night.
Prior to joining the Entertainment Solutions team, Jan was already recognized as one of the top up-and-coming special event professionals in Arizona. After earning her bachelor's degree in Recreation and Tourism Management from Arizona State University Jan immediately started to make an impact on local events. She worked as the trade show manager for the OASIS Gift Trade Show, a nationally ranked show with over 10,000 attendees and 1,300 booths held biannually at the Phoenix Civic Plaza. Jan left this position to start a family, but kept active in special events on a part time basis, including such projects as Pleasant Harbor Marina's special event program. When she decided to return to work full time, she joined the City of Glendale's award-winning Special Events Division. After four years with Glendale, Jan decided to return to the private sector and became part of the Entertainment Solutions team.
Jan shares her knowledge of special events as a Faculty Associate at ASU where she teaches Vendor Management and Event Operations as part of the Special Events Certificate program. Jan expands her student's opportunities by providing hands-on experience as volunteers at the large events that she manages.
Jan has been a member of the International Festivals and Events Association for 12 years. In 2004, she was awarded Certified Festival and Event Executive status, becoming one of only six professionals in Arizona to hold the industry’s highest professional certification.
Carolyn has extensive experience in both public and private events. Prior to working at Entertainment Solutions, Inc.she spent much of her time volunteering her services to different organizations, assisting them in acquiring entertainment and managing event timelines. She worked on numerous events throughout the valley including the City of Glendale’s World Port, Glendale Glitters and Chocolate Affair. Carolyn also served as an intern at the 2002 Arizona State Fair where she increased her knowledge of special events.
It was just a year later that Carolyn joined the Entertainment Solutions team, working solely on booking unique entertainment, creating interactive attractions and procuring sponsorships for the 2003 Tempe Music Festival. Her scope has now expanded to coordinating the entertainment for the P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon and the Insight Fiesta Bowl Block Party and obtaining new clients for the company. She continues to book local and regional talent for all sizes and varieties of events. Carolyn never fails to bring together customized entertainment, decor and visuals that truly reflect the client’s theme and purpose for each event.
With over 15 years of experience in special event management, Debbie’s history with event planning spans from music festivals to organizing parades and corporate VIP functions.
Raised in Las Vegas Nevada, she moved to Arizona in 1979 to finish her degree at Arizona State University. She started her event career with the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, Special Events Office. Debbie’s passion and focus for events enabled her to be a major contributor to the city’s annual Fabulous Phoenix 4th, APS Fiesta of Light Electric Light Parade and Sunday on Central events in downtown Phoenix. Debbie focused her talents on handling vendor coordination, event site construction, talent bookings and VIP décor and catering.
After 20 years with the City of Phoenix Special Events Office, Debbie joined the Entertainment Solutions team in September of 2007. As the Office Manager, Debbie is responsible for coordinating all office operations and procedures. She has also proven to be a valuable asset to the team when it comes to managing the on-site event office for the Insight Fiesta Bowl New Year’s Eve Block Party and Circle K Tempe Music Festival.
Born and raised in Central Pennsylvania, Michelle O’Donnell graduated fromPenn State University where she majored in Advertising and Public Relations. Michelle’s minor in Recreation, Park and Tourism Management led to her first internship in the City of Harrisburg’s Department of Parks and Recreation Special Events Office. As a special events intern during the summers of 2004 to 2006, Michelle learned about sponsorship sales, event marketing, event branding and signage and event publications.
After graduation, she migrated to Arizona for an Event Operations internship with the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl and Insight Bowl from 2006 to 2007. Her internship included projects such as the Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade and the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Fiesta Bowl National Band Championship. During her time there, Michelle learned about volunteer and staff management, balancing special event budgets, national media attention and working with city staff from outside the organization.
Michelle joined the Entertainment Solutions team in November 2007 as a Production Coordinator. Michelle’s strong organizational skills are an asset when she coordinates event-programming components. She works directly with clients, sponsors and venues to fulfill and manage contractual requirements and requests. Michelle assists in everything from event production and community relations to database and box office management.
Following her graduation, Erika was hired as a District Manager for Cold Stone Creamery, focusing her time on community involvement, local marketing and brand management for multiple stores in Arizona and New Mexico. Moving to Tempe allowed Erika get involved in music promotion again as she worked with Clear Channel Radio at local events. Erika simultaneously gained insider experience while working as support staff for the facility management at the Venue of Scottsdale. Erika then transitioned her focus back onto independent show promotions, artist development and marketing with Static Management, a local public relations and marketing firm.
Erika joined the Entertainment Solutions team in December 2007. As the Marketing Coordinator, Erika primarily designs materials to effectively market talent and accounts to clients. She also maintains the database of hundreds of musicians and entertainers and attends local shows to actively seek out fresh talent to add to the Entertainment Solutions artist roster.
